about

The Wave Widows was conceived by Truus de Groot. This mostly instrumental album of 9 original compositions sets the mood with a unique, heavy, atmospheric, sexy drone backdrop of the Surf Genre. A simple line-up of grinding guitars, driving bass, thundering yet delicate drums and a touch of Moog. Recorded at The Ranch, Escondido, CA, USA. Created, performed & Cover art by Truus de Groot
Instruments used: Guitar, Bass Guitar, Opus 3 Moog, Drums, Vocals

Wave Widows:
Longingly they stare out to sea
What once was is no more to be
The waves that rivaled their passion
Devoured their mates without compassion
Crashed and bludgeoned without remorse
Nature’s unapologetic mega force

about

Plus Instruments San Diego, California

Plus Instruments' existence spans over the last 4 decades. Established in 1978 by Truus de Groot in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, amidst the explosion of Punk Rock. Even though Truus was very active in that genre and “New Wave” as well, the more experimental side gradually took over and the concept of Plus Instruments was born. Plus Instruments is still going strong! Check out Truus' Blue Beast ! ... more
